Pros

Good starting salary for a new college grad. Health benefits are good. Loved the free chiropractor visits. Can get a consulting job after the non-compete agreement ends that will pay much more and require you to work much less.

Cons

Culture of tattletales. Your experience there depends largely on who is assigned as your TL (supervisor). Your experience also depends on how good of customers you get, at least for the customer facing roles. I had two new customers right out of training, which required me to travel extensively and made my life a living hell. Expectation to routinely work 55+ hour weeks with no praise for doing so. I had my supervisor try to talk me out of taking a day off after I had worked for 17 days straight. No daycare facilities or gyms on campus. Located in Verona, a pretty boring little town. The commute can be a real pain from downtown Madison during the winter.

Pros

- It's a good place to start a career, as you'll get a lot of responsibility for your experience level - The pay is good for the typical age of the Epic employee (more on that in a bit) - Opportunity to travel the US and take advantage of discounted airfare for personal travel - Epic does a great job of matching personalities on implementation teams for the most part

Cons

- Limited opportunities for career advancement or growth - The pay is bad considering the typical workload of implementers - Poor leadership with little to no sense of what individual team members are doing - Work/life balance can get out of hand quickly; management not willing to do much to remedy - Very slow to change or react; company is very much set in its ways

Pros

Everyone here is really smart. Like everyone. It makes for a fun, stimulating work environment. Lots of responsibility right off the bat, and opportunities to advance if you impress the right people.

Cons

First year is brutal. Not a lot of support and too much work to handle. If you make it through that, it gets easier and the work is more interesting. But they really drive their new implementation folks into the ground.
