Pros

Culinary is literally the only good department at Epic. They actually have good cooks there.

Cons

1) Management is COMPLETELY out of touch 2) Work-life balance is almost non-existent 3) In the midst of COVID, and against state and county orders, they are bringing 10,000 ppl back in office for the sake of culture. Yup they have no other reasons except culture.

Pros

The people are bright and you get to engage with important customer counterparts early on in your career.

Cons

Upper management is a black box of managing people, forcing folks to come back into the office when all work can be completed remotely. Despite pleas from parents, management has ignored limited options for daycare and is pushing folks to come back in September. It comes off as management wanting to work you dry and having no interest for your personal life. I loved epic, but their response to coronavirus has made me significantly rethink staying here.

Pros

Great Salary. Pretty campus, if somewhat vapid in benefits, meaningful work, hires great people who want to make a difference and are willing to work hard.

Cons

Upper management is very opaque in its decision-making process and is unwilling to take the welfare of their employees seriously. The current Covid-19 response (attempting to skirt every health regulation and get people back in office as fast as public relations will allow them to) is emblematic of the issue. They want to churn and burn their employees and do not care about your well-being to dangerous extents. This is without even getting to our out-date stack and dev process.
