Pros

Sales staff are well rewarded. Average pay levels. Job security is good for those that survive the annual layoffs in December.

Cons

Lack of good career path for technical people. Software development methodologies are poor or non-existent in parts of the company. Software tester ratios are too low.

Pros

Interesting projects, nice people, on consulting level not much politics. Eduction from time to time, I would say balanced. Great people form different offices and opportunity to for on international projects.

Cons

Project management flying high (not focused on details), of course not all managers but in general at least from human side they were cool.

Pros

The Seattle office is great place to work. The people are great and the management actually cares (but only on this office). The overseeing parent offices (Irvine and Newburgh) could care less about the people in Seattle.

Cons

Salary! Epicor does not pay their employees anywhere near market rate or what they are worth. Senior management seems to have no clue on how to run a business. They will come in one day and layoff 10%-20% of the staff and have absolutely zero communication about the future or what's going on with the company. They will not communicate with the employees about anything, you are left to aimlessly work through months of unknown. You'll never know if you will be layed off or your project will be canceled, or your office will be closed.
