Pros

experience, networking are both available - lots of e learning as well. The ability to be exposed to many different customer environments offers the opportunity to gather information that will be useful down the road.

Cons

poorly coordinated - employees are considered nothing more than a resource for billable time , not as anything more. Customers are not treated as well as they should be. Management is driven only by dollars, not in value created. Very silo like in it's structure.

Pros

The people in the trenches are great to work with. Although not formalized, their development process is solid when doing on shore. Off shore work is just a slave grind. Work them until they have a mental breakdown or quit. Then hire some more people and put them to the grind.

Cons

You'll always be outsourced regardless of how good you are or what type of work you do. It's all about the company's bottom line. The fear to lose your job on a daily basis is greater than the advantage of working there. Only take the job as a temporary thing.
