Work weeks are usually 36 hours, however it is easy to pick up extra shifts if you want. Management doesn't micro-manage. Health insurance benefits are great.

Cons

You are able to pick up extra shifts because the department is a revolving door. The pay is terrible, so no one wants to stay.

Pros

The most positive thing I can say is that I am no longer employed at Erlanger Health System. There are good people from time to time but they don't last long. I had a couple of great bosses when I was there and there were some executives who actually cared about people, but they're all gone now.

Cons

The environment is the most toxic imaginable. There is no respect for the individual and they waste money on ridiculous "programs" to improve employee satisfaction. I remember when they hired experts to come in and teach employees how to be nice. Thousands upon thousands of dollars later, and penalizing employees for not carrying papers to remind them to be nice to each other, it didn't make an ounce of difference in the toxicity that hovers there.
