Pros

Life at a level 1 trauma center is rough no matter what you do there. However it also attracts some of the best professionals there are.

Cons

Stress levels run high and there aren't many outlets to get it out.

Pros

The benefit is the time off. As medical personnel, we only work three 12 hours shifts per week. Having four days off a week is a plus.

Cons

Personally, I work night shift (7pm-7am) which is hard to do and I stay tired a lot. The current management of our department (children's ER) is lacking in management and people skills. Lowest pay in the region and the company is greedy.

Chattanooga is a beautiful town with lots of great activities and ways to spend the weekends. Line level staff is mostly awesome to work with.

Cons

Please research Erlanger thoroughly through independent news media before accepting a job offer at this employer. I wish that I had done this.
