It's ok but they own you

Pros

salary, growth potential and decent management

Cons

They own you. Storm duty involves significant hours at the drop of a hat. They used to only call for that occasionally, but now you are on call what feels like constantly. They pay well, but not when you factor in number of hours required to work unpaid.

Great Company, but….

Pros

It is a great company to work for. I have been here over 20 years. Great pay, depending on what state you are in, and benefits.

Cons

Mass and CT employees are paid considerably more for the same jobs as people in NH. Hard to compete for manpower when so close to Boston. It is hard to retain staff because of outdated pay practices in NH. Be ready to always work storms when the wind blows or rain is forecasted for the weekend. If you are exempt, you will not be paid for storm work. Only the union and hourly get paid. Storm pay was taken away from all exempt employees.
