      Good pay and opportunities, but out dated management.

      Pros

      The pay and potential opportunities for advancement are really nice. Not hard to move around within the company, in fact it's encouraged.

      Cons

      Incredibly difficult work environment. It seems like the management style is still stuck in the 80's; i find yelling and cursing at employees simply because a manager is under stress to be completely unacceptable.

      Great development opportunities

      Pros

      Exelon encourages their employees to take on other roles in the company, allowing for personal development and they invest in employee development training. Exelon paid for my MBA which is a huge benefit. Other benefits are good as well with generous vacation, 401k, pension, and bonuses. Leadership cares about the safety of their employees and makes it the #1 priority.

      Cons

      A large portion of Exelon is 24x7 and you know this going in, but it is sometimes hard for your family and friends to understand when working nights, weekends, or holidays. This is offset with a generous vacation policy.
