Pros

I joined Exelon as an intern and it was a really great experience as I got to learn a lot from them. There was immense support with all the technical expertise I got from the team and it helped my overall growth during my short tenure working for them

Cons

I just did not get time to explore more due to stipulated time role

Pros

Exelon has been a great fit for me and my interests in the energy industry. It is a very large organization that recently split its generation business (Constellation) separate from its transmission and distribution business (Exelon). I like that they hire folks that are smart but highly collaborative and team players. There is a STRONG culture of teaching and training, to help create and maintain complex processes and create continuity on complex projects. Exelon remains a Fortune 100 company now after the split, and as a project manager, you have multiple ways to gain experience and make an impact. From hackathons, to the Exelon Analytics Academy which just received an IEEE award, to volunteerism, the company is a great long-term choice in the energy world. On a personal level, my manager and immediate team have been a Godsend in terms of being motivated, empathetic and collaborative. The company generally practices what it preaches. Other positives: -solid yearly bonus potential -the opportunity to work on projects that make a big difference for large number of residential and commercial customers across 6 operating companies

Cons

Lots of processes that may have a difficult learning curve in the beginning but efforts are constantly being made to streamline them. Some departments should hire more internal subject matter experts for continuity purposes when older team members retire.

Pros

Benefits, remote work, PTO, HSA

Cons

people are expected to work beyond their job descriptions and salary regularly and for that you get your paycheck and benefits like everyone else. Leadership seems to have much more PTO that lower levels or at least have the time to take it . rewards for achievers are for a select few. In addition to the grind, this department is seen as a bottleneck to all others needing work to go through supply so dealing with that frustration daily is the other part . No voice here no one is listening
