Pros

Great working environment with awesome coworkers and if you don't like to work at one spot there are plenty of sites to work. You get a work vehicle, company card to pay all work expenses, all the dogs here are taken care of like one of the family, If you like working getting extra time for work there are sites that can be worked in the afternoon into the night. You can also go and do paid training on your time off, If you need time off just give the boss time in advance and she will work with you the best she can. This job is great but it is what you make off it, if you just do your job the right way then you will be a happy employee.

Cons

There isn't to many cons other then sometimes you work a lot of hours but that can be good depending on the individual. If you don't do all your paperwork or train like you are suppose to then it can get stressful for the individual to get caught up quick as possible. But that falls on the individual who didn't get it done in time. With any job sometimes we get individuals here who try to play the system and get caught then just drop leash so they don't have to deal with the after math so when that happens it screws the rest of the employees.

Pros

Only CONUS company I would work for. I get paid to work with my dog all day. Company pays for everything even my boots and belt. Only company with benefits company car insurance. Long days but easy work. Everyone is x MWD so good people to work with. Everyone knows what they are doing.

Cons

Traffic. if you do not get out in time to miss rush hour you could be an hour for a half hour ride home. Mornings are not bad but

Pros

-Take home company canine -Take home company vehicle -Employee insurance covered by the company -Canine care is covered by the company

Cons

-The company owner promises 80 hours bi-weekly which doesn't always happen -There is only 10-12 handlers in the company so it is impossible to schedule appointments -Five people have quit in five months which doesn't say a whole lot about the company -The company will always have handlers as long as it lowers its experience standards which is unfortunate because otherwise it would fail -You sit in your vehicle for 9 straight hours a day and then face D.C. traffic -Employees lie on time sheets if late and are never held accountable for their actions -Owner seems very unorganized and has papers everywhere in her office -Shady employees who talk behind your back -Owner complains employees live too far away but yet you don't make enough to live remotely close to D.C.

We did have a gentleman that endured all of this. I am sorry other handlers talked about you behind your back. We grew and although where we want to be is a long week followed by a short week, we grew and needed to cover the sites. I had just as many complaints when we stabilized because people had gotten use to the ot pay. I did have people leave to make the big bucks overseas! Nightmare. I do not complain that employees live to far from the site, they are required to live within 50 miles of the site, I do not accept I was late because of where I live. What I do tell everyone is, "I do not tell you were to live, but I do expect you to be on time".
