Pros

Training. They invest in the training of their managers. Training encompasses a great deal of topics. It falls short when turned-out to train at a sister site prior to going live at your designated property. The training does NOT match the practical application.

Cons

It's a plug and play system of micromanagement, not leadership. Constantly emailed or text lists to do. Even though you've done it and emailed you did it. You're going to get an email from your boss, from their right hand person to report too. Sure, you could brush this comment off as, "well if you were doing what you're supposed to be doing..no one would be checking up on you." Don't believe that! The micromanagement IS the chosen system of management. There's no coaching or guidance. No real leadership.

Pros

The best thing is your fellow team members. I’ve met some of the greatest peers and I plan on remaining that way with them.

Cons

Bare bones management. Unsupportive, unreliable “we care” mentality. Leadership needs to really investigate but the truth of the matter is the call is coming from inside the house. Evictions overran hotel and instead of addressing concerns it’s blame the manager for not succeeding when the clientele of eviction guests outnumbered the actual paying guests. Items not fixed, costs cut, daily conversations being berated, cursed at, threatened, called vile names by guests. Higher leadership when addressed asking what I did to cause it? No work life balance even though they talk about it, no mutual 180 on our managers that was promised years ago, just blame the low level management for everything and preach accountability but never take self accountability for their own actions. There is so much more I could write about favortism, pay disparity for POC and LGBTQ+ peers, about a toxic culture of comments made by leadership and behaviors. Kicking managers out of their positions to sell, kicking people out of their places offering no support, I mean, I could say all that but simply put- Run.
