Pros
"You are the CEO of your own hotels" This is not a pro until you know how to do your job. which I wasn't trained for until well into my tenure.
Cons
No assistance from the top. I was dropped into a position with virtually no training. Held to a standard i was not shown how to meet. My training consisted of bits and pieces of information given to me after mistakes were already made. I have yet to feel supported in my role. The company termed all the tenured employees when i was hired so that i had no one to turn to for guidance. I was left to flounder and create bad habits and face standards that were nearly impossible to execute given my ability to understand or use the resources at my disposal. I have been assaulted on MULTIPLE occasions with the management team at first telling me it was pointless to get security and then throwing the responsibility to get said security to me rather than the hundreds of above site leadership who im sure could have taken care of this in a manor of days.
