Pros

There is plenty of opportunity for growth and advancement, part time employees have opportunities to maximize hours to 40, and associates voices are heard.

Cons

Some of the challenges are working with unreliable people and procedures and policies are always changing.

Pros

Nothing Nothing Nothing Nothing Absolutely Nothing!!

Cons

Extended Stay America Midtown in Nevada is the worst place ever. The manager has her favorites. If she does not like you she will cut your hours. Like she said it is not her problem to find someone to cover your shift or work for you so if you have a family emergency and no one can cover you, you will automatically be terminated. Other coworkers wash their clothes in the laundry room where we wash the sheets and the guest towels. Manager leaves every day at 6 PM so if there is an emergency you will have to deal with it or tell them to wait till the morning. The area is horrible cars are always stolen and broken in to. Rooms are infested with bed bugs. The manager is nice in the beginning but once you're on her bad side she will make your life a living hell. She changes your schedule and doesn't tell you until the day of, or let me be more specific, she doesn't tell you till 15 minutes before your shift. There is no communication whatsoever. She will text you to come in and cover for someone and when you text her to tell her you can't make it to work all of a sudden "Texting is not a form of communication." If you want to be drilled during your first month and be treated like trash after a while this is the perfect place to work. Also Homeless go in and out of the hotel and the manager expects you to go check the stairwells at night by yourself..

Pros

I have worked for Exendedstay for over 20 years. The company has helped me grow as a person and a manager. No matter what position I have had. I have received great tutoring in becoming better at that position. ESA is like anything in life, the more you put into it, the more it gives back. On a personal note, when I had a tragedy in my personal life. I not only had the people that I worked with show up for me, I also had everyone of my pervious supervisor's show up. That showed me that ESA, is truly more then just the bottom line.

Cons

Over the past few years, there has been a lot of change at the top. Change is always stressful, till you learn what the new direction is.
