Pros

Nothing positive about this place except a few cool people at hotel level.

Cons

No support, no staff, management is cheap with ordering, can’t get supplies, can’t get rid of toxic employees, higher ups are doing shady activity.

Pros

Good time off policy. Good management at my location. great interactions with guests.

Cons

the higher ups do not care about you. being made to do the jobs of 3 people and getting paid for one. no raises at all ever even if you have been there for 10 years unless you move up to management. shift leads are made to be on call if someone doesn't show up for work. they don't fire people that need to be fired. tell you you can't leave at the end of your shift unless the next person comes, even if they are hours late you can't leave or will be fired. being the only person on shift if you work afternoon or night. can't have an uninterrupted 30 minute break due to not being able to leave the property for your break and having to help anyone that comes up or calls during your break but you MUST clock out for lunch even if you don't have time to eat lunch. being required and asked to do things way outside of your job description due to "being a team player"

Pros

Your direct supervisors are absolutely amazing! They are there to support you every step of the way, and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need to succeed. If you are starting to fall behind, they will be right by your side. It is very easy to work with other departments such as Field Sales and Revenue to find properties that will best suit your clients needs. You get to build close relationships with your clients they won't get with competitors. Remote positions allow you to work from anywhere in the country.

Cons

Executives are severely out of touch with not only their own corporate employees, but the property managers as well. Ever since ESA was bought out by Blackstone, the C-Suite's sole purpose has been to please their buyers, even at the cost of their employees. Sales and support teams are in constant fear of having to prove their worth to the department heads or risk loosing their job. Properties are run on a bare bones, skeleton staff. This results in burnt out general managers, dirty rooms that can't be sold, rooms not cleaned to a minimum level of cleanliness, and constant billing issues. Remote employees are constantly thrown to the wind when it comes to any sort of employee appreciation or events. As a corporate employee, you are included on all corporate based employee email listings for company events, but if you don't live in the Charlotte area, you're not included. Multiple attempts to bring in the national sales team for training and team bonding have fell through. Annual "anonymous" employee surveys are send out, but any criticism falls on deaf ears. The company prides itself on making it through the pandemic without closing any hotels or laying off any staff, but as soon as they face economic headwinds, they proceed with rounds of layoffs no matter how long you have been with them or how much you've achieved. Loyalty means nothing to them, and they will upend your life to bring down their payroll.
