Pros

You meet all different people and you never know what your in site for when you walk into the hotels.

Cons

They abuse you and use you until you can not take it anymore. You are on call 24/7 you never have a day off and everything is your fault. There is no support in place. Your not allowed to spend any money to buy the things that you need to run your hotel. Upper management will throw you under the bus to save themselves. You can not trust anyone.

Pros

Good benefits as in healthcare & 401k, bonus is a joke

Cons

EVERYTHING else! Svps are overpaid & lazy operations hms/gems work 65-75 hours a week & the micromanagement has gotten ridiculous!! Spending many hours sending & completing reports that the lazy Dms, RDOs & SVPs already have access to. No time to train teams or insure processes are in place! Need a tracker for trackers! Can't order needed supplies & need to beg other hotels for the most basic of supplies. Very gender & race biased!! Promotion is a joke, only butt kissers move up, sure not women.

Pros

I'm a people person, so I really enjoyed my time interacting with the guests! Because the property had a small staff, there was a sense of family between the GSRs, housekeepers, and maintenance/answer-to-all-our-problems man. ESA provided on-going training which was nice. I was able to leave with basic sale knowledge based on the training I received throughout my time at the property.

Cons

There was a huge disconnect between management and lower level employees. The hotel lead was very lazy and often pushed all his work to the GSRs. The hotel manager was not supportive of the staff and kept pushing for more. There were times that the manager would be on-site for just a few minutes before leaving... never to be seen again. We would often have irate guests that management would not want to deal with, so the GSRs had to handle specific circumstances.
