Pros

The benefit plan is good, relative to the overall market. Generally speaking, the other analyst are competent comrades that are willing to help. Onsite cafeteria that serves basic needs. Gym facilities at Rockville office. Free shuttle service from the Shady Grove metro to the office.

Cons

Highly Inefficient, highly bureaucratic and extremely outdated procedures and processes. The systems are VERY bad and the data-integrity is highly suspect. Most directives, depending upon group, lack continuity and consistency.

Pros

Great work life balance and medical, vision, dental and retirement benefits are some of the best you will find at a quasi govt type company.

Cons

Limited opportunity for advancement. Much of top management seems to be recruited from outside high status organizations. Very few, if any, rise through the rank and file.

Pros

The organization really cares about protecting the investing community, their core mission. The benefits provided by the organization is one of the best in the industry.

Cons

Since the organization is focused on regulation and enforcement, innovation and creativity have long lead times.
