Pros

FMG is a growing company and has so many opportunities for growth. This is one of the coolest times to be apart of a company and be building upon the solid foundation the company has! It has the perfect atmosphere of fun and work, and this is not just a place you go to work and never know who your desk neighbor is. There are many opportunities for bonuses and weekly employee recognition.

Cons

Since we are growing we are still working on better processes and currently they are coming together splendidly!

Pros

I have worked for Faulkner Media Group, for 5 and a half months. Class act from the top down. Very comfortable atmosphere in the Utah office. I have sincerely enjoyed my time here. Staying productive is fulfilling , actually sometimes I forget I'm at work .

Cons

Sharp training curve. Perfect if you are a hands on learner.

Pros

One side of the company operates like a modern tech company with great leaders and great collaboration.

Cons

The other side is more like a sweat shop with no communication and no trust. I've worked on both sides of the company long enough to know. One side is lacking leadership and you're treated as nothing more than a number.

When you mention the different mode of operation from team to team I can see what you're talking about. As a management team, we swap best practices and learn from one another, but sometimes the day-to-day work gets in the way of developing great management strategy. I've personally been coached and learned a lot from leadership on both sides. But to your point, we should be better at carving out that time across the organization. Nobody should feel like a temp and it sounds like we could do a better job at nurturing and developing teammates like yourself. Things like career coaching and technical training come to mind. If you haven't had a chance to speak with your manager, please do, there is probably an opportunity to offer you something in that respect—if not internally, through external resources/training. Thanks for the feedback.
