      High Employee Turnover...very poor upper Management..pretty much non-existent

      Good medical benefit plan...okay 401k plan

      Cons

      Upper Management is either non-existent and/or incompetent! The current upper Management structure was created by knowing someone high in the company or was promoted due to tenure with no management experience. The employee turnover rate is over 20% this year alone due to lack of structure and lack of management experience for growth of employees. Not a company you would want to join if you want growth in you career!

Fabick Cat strives to provide support and development to all employees who have a desire to advance their careers. Over the past several years, Fabick Cat’s turnover has been less than 8%. However, we fully understand that at a store level the departure of employees may have a greater impact than what our turnover stats depict. Because of this, we do review our turnover on a monthly basis and address opportunities based on location trends and feedback from employees. Employees are also encouraged to apply to positions on the Internal Career Center as well as to discuss development plans with their immediate manager with support from Human Resources. Candidates, both internal and external, are evaluated based on specific job requirements.       Good, the bad, the ugly

      Pros

      Pay is decent, insurance is great. Most of the employees are easy to work with.

      Cons

      The way things are done in the WI region are way different than the MO counter part. There are at times 3 employees in MO for every 1 employee per job duty in Wi. It’s stressful. Half the managers have no clue how to manage people. They have certain locations when there is a poor performing employee, we just shuffle them to another department. This is brewing poor attitudes of those who work hard. Presently a system conversion is happening. Most of us are realizing we are being used, abused and beaten down until system merge and then a lot of people will be let go whether management admits it or not. Please don’t boast making a billion dollars, and when departments are begging for help, you tell them “there’s no money for it”. We were asked to post reviews so I think there are some “loaded reviews” posted on here. Buyer beware would be my advice.

      Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. The system conversion you mentioned is necessary in order to continue growing successfully as a combined organization. That said, we also understand that such a large project takes dedication from all employees - the type of focused hard work that we very much appreciate. Certain positions have been identified that will no longer be needed after the project has been completed due to the synergies gained from one common business system, the employees in those positions were given 12 months’ notice of such decision to provide them with adequate time to prepare for such transition. Those employees, as with any employee, are encouraged to review the Company’s Internal Job Postings for current open positions and apply if interested. We also encourage all employees to write authentic reviews (just as open and honest as this one is). We would never ask for canned feedback or specific ratings. Receiving real reviews from past and present employees is a goal of ours so we appreciate and value your input here. In terms of need for additional support without follow through from management, we would like to discuss this with you further.       Went from family company to corporate careless

      Pros

      The pay and benefits would be decent if the workload was not so demanding. Would be a good career if expectations were consistent.

      Cons

      Long hours and very high workload. The higher levels in the company are in their "fourth quarter of their careers" - Doug Fabick's words himself. Change is difficult for them and they are stuck in green screens. The merger has put people in charge that are not in the family business state of mind. You are replaceable and they make sure you know it.
