Pros

Self directed work with little contact with corporate, benefits were decent, was very close to home.

Cons

Small company with little support for purchasing/HR matters. Not much opportunity for growth. Salary based solely on contract retention.

Marginally better than being unemployed Marginally

Cons

Poor pay - average rate is $7.85 - $9 for blowers; Managers make only slightly more "Overtime" = $1 more than your regular hourly rate Nepotism was readily apparent Supervisors were either ill-trained, incompetent, or outright cruel Utter lack of communication/respect/support from upper-management to anyone below them Forced to agree to let management take accidental damage to equipment out of your paycheck Workers are told that safety equipment (gloves, earplugs, goggles, etc) is required; company then does not provide it without constant pestering; ditto hydration in summer, warming packets for outdoor workers in winter Constant negativity from coworkers and management creates a toxic, soul-crushing work environment.
