Pros

Meaningful work with patients in treatment for addiction.

Cons

Negative, outdated approach to addiction treatment. Leadership at Fairview Addiction and Behavioral Health has NO vision for program development, scope, or coherent mission. Systems including evaluation, Intake, admission, insurance / financial coverages, documentation, and continuing care are a disaster - NO ONE knows what they are doing and the “solution” changes every day. Patients are treated disrespectfully. This program fat with bureaucratic processes -/ it costs as much as the most elite Minnesota treatment programs but it’s a dump.

Pros

Some of my coworkers, creating relationships with patients

Cons

The management is horrible. They ask for your opinion as to what can be done better or if there is anything they can help you with but they don't honestly want your feedback. If you ever bring an issue to their attention they find a way to turn it around on you! In addition to the management being horrible it reflects on other employees such as the RN's for instance. You ask them to triage a patient and they become upset and asking questions like, "why did they come here and not they're primary clinic?". The CEO is a joke. He took away the one perk almost everyone used which was the 1 free statefair ticket! Just to save on budget costs. The benefits suck. You would think working at Fairview you would get some type of discount for using their clinics for your care but nope! The lowest deductible plan you can choose is $500 and if your not a person that goes to the doctor for everything you will never meet it. Also you have to use your PTO for holidays if you want to be paid. None of the holidays are paid but you still get the day off.

Pros

I am not really sure. Some staff and doctors are nice.

Cons

The company is awful, now merged with an even worse company. Lies upon hire. Zero opportunity for advancement. They lack respect for their employees, work them to death and pay them horribly. Constant change but nothing ever gets better. Zero respect for the frontline teams who do the work, yet the leaders expect it all with no recognition.
