Pros

Good benefits, easy work duties, excellent work life balance, decent compensation, lots of resources to use to do the job

Cons

No career paths, no professional growth opportunities, HR is horrible, don't promote people based on results-only based on politics, corporate boys club is rampant, management is never held accountable for their actions

Pros

- The overall mission of helping people in need - IT employees able to work remotely with shifted hours (lookup ROWE) - Could take off 1 day per week if your job was done and not claim it (ROWE) - Amount of vacation is above average - Not much micro-management and you are free to find solutions for problems - Large IT shop with lots of large & scaled out technologies providing good experience

Cons

- Very poor IT Management communication - Very poor IT Management planning/direction/leadership - Immature business processes - Slow to make decisions, usually requires consensus and many meetings to move forward - Very little recognition - Expect 3.5% increase in pay yearly. No more, No less and pretty much everyone gets that. - If you were new coming into Fairview, you would have a hard time meeting people because a lot of them are working remote and there aren't many opportunities to meet people - New employee training is non-existent. - Policies are hard to locate and understand, different from site to site, and often unenforced. - Organic growth into leadership positions has led to people at the top which lack senior management qualities of leadership & direction. They haven't worked anywhere else in the last 20 years to give them perspective.
