Pros

Separate PTO and sick time Remote work Company-provided equipment Parental leave Decent overall benefits

Cons

If you’re on the frontline (customer support), expect zero work-life balance. Weekends off? Not here. Sundays off? Forget it. Even getting consistent, decent days off is a challenge. FanDuel uses a confusing “box bid” system a few times a year where you have to choose a range of start times you’d prefer (for example, selecting a box that covers 5 PM starts), and then cross your fingers that a shift actually exists with that start time on the shift bid. A normal shift bid would make much more sense and would give employees a better chance at real work-life balance when they can see, and bid on ALL the shifts that are available. Holiday scheduling is beyond frustrating. You’re required to work most major holidays, with a separate “holiday bid” that only lets you request one of those days off — Thanksgiving, the day after, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, or New Year’s Day. PTO isn’t allowed during these blackout periods, so plan on working while everyone else celebrates. Pay isn’t competitive either. Whether you bring two days or twenty years of experience, you’ll be paid the same when you start. Taking on extra tasks or being trained for more work doesn’t come with additional pay, or its supposed to, but they are slow to give it, and forgot about asking what the raise is, because your sup won’t know. If you’re looking to advance, know that supervisor roles are filled internally — and not based on relevant experience. Even if you’ve been a proven leader elsewhere, it won’t matter unless you already hold a specific internal title.
