Pros

1. Appealing to be able to work in sports and technology, solving fan experience solutions for world-class sports teams and venues. 2. Exceptionally talented staff. Can't say enough good things about them. We're not just coworkers, we're all friends outside of work. Together, we are all invested in the vision. It would be a very welcoming environment for any new employee. 3. With recent company improvements, SI is in a fantastic position to deliver quality solutions to clients and partners. 4. Executive team empowers employees. Every level of employee has an impact on the product and company. They trust you - you're hired for a reason. 5. Working alongside Sporting KC is a huge asset, as we can research product solutions in a real sports environment and use Sporting Park as a "living lab." 6. Awesome perks including the location of the office being right in the heart of downtown KC with easy access to Power & Light, Crossroads, restaurants, entertainment, Sprint Center and more. The street car is right off our parking lot. The office is recently renovated with gym in the building, an allowance for Company Kitchen, cool meeting spaces, the latest tech, ping pong, XBox, darts, and an impressive rooftop event space. We also try to do many team events including happy hours, staff meetings, potlucks, and other fun events.

Cons

It's hard work getting the product up to the standard of the vision but with the current leadership, this company is definitely on the right track with the right people.

Grand ideas, but mediocre execution.

Pros

The only pro is that it sounds like a cool place to work.

Cons

It's super challenging to work here once all the good talent leaves, and all the development is outsourced to India. There is no work/life balance when meetings are scheduled at midnight to accommodate the outsourcing.

Proud to be working alongside visionary leaders solving huge problems

Pros

Sporting Innovations is an organization committed to solving some of the toughest problems in one of the largest and most compelling industries in the world. The opportunity to disrupt such a large market is huge, and as with all such opportunities, the challenges are immense and fun to overcome. All the negative reviewers are former employees, many of whom were let go probably due to performance related concerns, and as such are not an accurate representation of what the organization is about. There are high expectations across the board so that Sporting Innovations can deliver value to its clients. Indeed, despite what the negative reviewers might imply, the organization does have clients, has won several awards for their products and innovation, etc. Senior leadership is visionary, exceptionally intelligent and among the most respected in the sports and technology industry. They care about their people, encourage them to be and do their best and give them responsibility when they are ready. I personally feel a greater sense of responsibility and ownership over of my work at Sporting Innovations than at any other time in my life. I am acknowledged by leadership for my successes and provided constructive feedback when I need it. Startups are hard, but the negative reviewers on this board obviously did not understand that. Solving large, systemic problems requires hard work, creativity, dedication and several long nights. This is the nature of the beast though, and the right people thrive in the face of these challenges; the wrong ones complain about them and other things they may not completely understand. Bottom line is, I am proud to part of Sporting Innovations and lucky to be able to work with some of the most talented leaders in the industry.

Cons

The organization needs to be extra careful about recruiting talent so that we can avoid hiring the wrong people.
