      What happened to this great company

      Pros

      -There is a great opportunity for advancement -The company offers a great service to its customers -Benefits are OK -Pay is good for an entry level position -Good way to learn about other companies in your community

      Cons

      -Fastenal has implemented a new training program that is not well thought out and very disorganized. -Fastenal has strayed away from its decentralized way of thinking - This has caused many valuable long time employees to either quit or become disgruntled. -Since going public Fastenal has lost their love for their employees and has become very money hungry -Fastenal has to strengthen itself internally before it can become strong externally -Fastenal has to rethink the direction it is heading.

      Pros

      A good stepping stone to sales and sales management. Teaches you how to run a business.

      Cons

      Salary and commissions are criminal. They will not promote you if you are difficult to replace. So they will promote a lesser qualified and ignorant individual because they are easier to replace - doesnt make sense but is a fact.
