Pros

Its a well know company and looks great on a resume. The greatest reason to work here is the people you work with-fantastic. I have met many people here, and enjoyed working with them as it makes the day go by quickly. The benefits are good and plentiful, and I feel I am compensated very fairly compared to other companies. You also get a healthy discount on shipping, which is great if you happen to make some extra income by selling stuff on ebay. Overall its a good place to work, but its changing (see the negs). If it wasnt for the eople I work with on a daily basis, I would leave asap.

Cons

The company has been on a downward spiral ever since FedEx took over. They are trying to run a copy center like its a shipping/logistics company. They do not understand retail at all. Not sure how long this opco will last the way its going. There are multiple levels of management throughout this company which makes things inefficient. There are also too many departments at corporate, which makes it hard to actually get anything done. None of the departments communicate, so you end up with conflicting information all the time. The company also prefers to have consultants tell us whats wrong with our business, rather than asking the team members. Company claims to want to hear what we have to say, but when it comes down to it, if you question anything, or are negative in any way, you will be accused of not being strategically aligned. They are also heavy on acronyms to the point that it is disgusting.

Pros

It's fun to make copies and interact with people-if you are outgoing and detail oriented, you will enjoy being at work. There are many opportunities to socialize and to talk to people about their personal lives as you make wedding invitations or birthday party fliers.

Cons

The work is somewhat repetitive and there can be a lot of stress. If you are clumsy, it is easy to ruin copies and waste resources.

Pros

Good benefits including 5% company match in 401(k) and immediate 100% vesting. OOPS, forget that - company cut match for 2009. Ouch! Get to work closely with customers on their projects which is fun most times (if you have a customer-oriented personality). Pleasant work environment. Chance to learn digital printing technology (a slowly-dying one but useful skill to have in the short term).

Cons

Corporate management's ever-changing mandates, procedures and audits. Corporate management's forever-increasing paranoia regarding customer file security and subsequent implementation of security "fixes". Corporate management's obsession with improving the "customer experience" yet having no clue what that is (except a mighty-cool-sounding corporate buzzword). FedEx's ongoing struggle to figure out what kind of business they actually bought from Kinko's in the first place. Corporate management's chipping away at team member hours, bonuses and 401(k) contributions. See any pattern here?
