      Large product portfolio, strong presence in international market, supplier to major automotive companies. Proprietary material and manufacturing technology.

      Terrible culture and little value for work/life balance

      Pros

      Carl Icahn owns ~ 85% of the company. Hopefully he can force some common sense into leadership and turn things around

      Cons

      ABSOLUTELY ZERO consideration for work life balance. You are required to travel around the world on little notice in cattle class on the cheapest flight you can find. Unless you are a director - then it's business class. Once at your destination, you work 14+ hour days for weeks on end and are criticized if you want to spend more than 2 weeks at home (I know one person who is home less than a weekend per month) Mediocre benefits - health insurance is bare minimum to be legal & 401k match is unimpressive.

      I learned a great deal at Federal-Mogul and am happy to have the experience to be challenged so much.

      Pros

      Working at Federal-Mogul has offered me many chances to learn new technologies. Everyone is approachable. The job can be very rewarding. Human resources really cares about the people.

      Cons

      It can be difficult at times to keep up with the rapid pace of change that occurs at this company. The healthcare plans aren't the best. The vacation time is short.
