Free candy at all times and there are some great people individually. Also the office is nice.

Cons

Unfortunately working at Ferrara in the brand side is like taking a trip back to middle school. Politics from Chicago and Italy run the show and the popular/mean girls lunch table from middle school is now in your work place. Nothing is confidential, nothing is improved. Great employees leave because of being sick of the politics. If you’re reading this and want to join Ferrara, do yourself a favor and ask to talk to people at all levels of the org. Only way to get a good gauge.

-Billion dollar company - Laid back environment - Casual attire - Free candy product/ Ferrara clothing - Flexible work hours + available overtime -

Cons

-Minimal resources provided or invested in the company to be successful. -High turnover (people walk off the job often) - Profanity used in office enviornment - Unprofessional attitudes; makes employees feel their being talked AT instead of Talked too. - Public DUI records from "Leadership" -Very juvenile enviornment constant gossiping and lack of respect for company values. - Minimal recognition for hard work. No succession plan for advancement or pay increase opportunities. - Low compensation compared to competitors.

Pros

people are fun, good insurance benefits and paid time off, free lunch in some locations, free coffee and tea, microwaves and refrigerators in breakrooms, eat all the free candy you want at work, get discounts on candy in the employee candy store, my immediate bosses were fantastic- smart, easy-going, easy to work with.

Cons

Since Sal Ferrara is no longer CEO, the company is quickly going downhill. The Ferrara family cared about their employees. The company has recently hired a bunch of upper-level management and they are getting rid of smart, knowledgeable people who have been here for decades. They are also moving some of the manufacturing lines from the US to Mexico, taking away from US jobs.
