Fictiv is going through the funding trap of hiring many many Director and VP+ people which look great on paper, while not backfilling or hiring out growth positions for IC's who have to implement and do the work. There are new ideas almost every other week and so many meetings which end up being a waste of time - because in two weeks, a new 'major' project will be dictated (and I do mean dictated) from the top.
Last year, Fictiv slowed down to focus on what was working, and doubled revenue. They seem to have forgotten that, and are now trying to do everything at once without any actual teams to build things (and losing people).
I don't feel like this is going to double again without reigning in the non-founder C-levels and VPs who change processes by dictate that directly impacts comp, and day-to-day work with zero discussion with the teams they impact.
Despite what they say, they do not value the input of subject matter experts.
They probably need to let the Sr subject matter experts quit, hire mid-level implementers, and eventually trim the strategic bloat after a year of failing to double due to no SMEs.
I may be overly pessimistic because during my hire process several things which I was told were going to happen, did not. This is a frequent occurrence on a monthly basis now.
