Pros

I was a client for 30+ years before becoming an advisor. It was because of First Command's planning and coaching, which gave me the blueprint to develop financial security over all these years, that I wanted to give that same coaching and security to the next generations. No one understands the military better. No one.

Cons

At First Command, you're working as an independent contractor, but have the requirements of following corporate policies, put in place to protect clients and adhere to federal regulation. Some see this as a burden; conversely, you have a large organization ensuring the client always gets what's in their best interest. I see that as a good trade-off.

Thank you for sharing your thoughtful review with us and for your insights as a valued client for so many years. Your transition from client to coach represents an important element of our business: a strong mission. We solely exist to coach military personnel and their families in their pursuit of financial security. Many of our Advisors tell us that this is one of the most compelling elements of a career here. Sometimes happy clients even choose to become enthusiastic coaches. It's honorable and we are thrilled to have your expertise in our ranks.
