Pros

You are paid every two weeks.

Cons

Strong command and control culture. Management talks a culture of collaboration and psychological safety however actions demonstrate a culture of fear and control. Pride themselves in never having layoffs, but demonstrate a history of randomly laying off groups of 3-5 people at a time Technology department is a disaster with very weak leadership Many opportunities for creating a lean organization exist, but the long standing kingdoms don't allow room for this type of improvement Few opportunities for women to advance

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We believe in our ability to achieve our big audacious goal of being the financial coach of our nation's military. But it is not just about reaching these goals, it is also about how we get there. We take collaboration and psychological safety very seriously as we've heard from our employees that these elements are critical to their well-being as well as business innovation and growth. We appreciate your candid feedback and will be sharing it with our executive team.

Thank you for sharing your review of First Command. Many of our employees and independent Advisors tell us they find the work-life balance (or integration) to be a compelling element of a career with us. We offer qualifying employees a competitive package of benefits, including the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), which the company entirely funds. We’d like to clarify that the return-to-office policy was developed with careful consideration and open communication. Our CEO values transparent communication and trust, and this has been a key focus throughout the process. The hybrid work policy has been a topic of discussion in various company forums, including our regular Town Halls and Forums, where employees asked questions and shared concerns. These conversations are essential to ensuring that decisions are made with input from across the organization. We understand that change can be challenging, and we’re committed to supporting our team through this transition. If you have additional concerns or suggestions, we encourage you to reach out directly to your manager or HR so that we can continue to address them constructively. Thank you for sharing your feedback.
