Pros

some coworkers are amazing to work with

Cons

My first year at First Entertainment was enjoyable, but since the leadership change, the atmosphere has shifted dramatically. Now, every eight-hour shift feels like walking on eggshells; I constantly fear losing my job over minor mistakes. The company seems to have abandoned verbal and written warnings, opting instead for immediate termination, which creates an environment of anxiety and uncertainty. Despite the CEO’s assurances that there would be no layoffs, we have experienced multiple job cuts and the closure of a previously thriving branch. This has left many dedicated employees without work and fostered an atmosphere of uncertainty among those who remain. While the company publicly emphasizes a commitment to "putting people first," this appears to be little more than a hollow promise. The reality is that employee welfare seems to be of little concern. Leadership has created an intensely toxic work environment. If you're a favorite, a promotion is practically guaranteed. In contrast, leadership often receives multiple promotions each year, while hardworking employees must constantly prove themselves just to earn the same recognition. I no longer feel welcome at First Entertainment; instead, I feel like a burden. The current leadership is driving the company toward decline, and unless meaningful changes are made, I fear for its future. I'm certain someone from HR will reply with compassion, but it is nothing more than a facade. I would strongly discourage anyone from working here, especially if you value your mental health.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and feedback. We truly appreciate your over five years of dedication to First Entertainment Credit Union and value your input. It’s clear that recent changes within the organization have impacted your experience, and we want to acknowledge how difficult that must feel. Your concerns about job security, the shift in workplace culture, and the communication around business decisions like branch closures are important points for us to consider as we continuously strive to improve. While changes in leadership and operational decisions can sometimes create challenges, we understand that feeling uncertain about the future is never easy. Regarding promotions and recognition, it's important to us that all teammates feel valued for their contributions. While everyone’s career path is unique, we want to ensure that growth opportunities are available to all. We are committed to fostering a fair and transparent environment that supports the development of every individual on our team. The Credit Union respects your perspective and the fact that this has been your experience. Your feedback helps us see where there may be gaps between intention and execution, and we take that seriously. If you’re open to it, we would welcome the opportunity to talk further and better understand how we can improve the experience for you and others. Your voice matters, and we are committed to learning and growing from all feedback. Thank you again for sharing.

Thank you for sharing your perspective and taking the time to voice your concerns. I can tell from your words that you care deeply about both the member experience and the well-being of your colleagues, and I appreciate your willingness to provide this candid feedback. We hear your frustrations regarding leadership and transparency, and we want to respectfully acknowledge the disappointment you feel, especially after having enjoyed working here in the past. It’s clear that certain decisions, including the changes in leadership and business operations, have impacted your experience, and I understand why this shift may feel disheartening. Your insights about member-facing practices and internal employee contests, as well as the feedback processes, are helpful for us to reflect on. Initiatives like idea contests and engagement efforts are meant to be empowering, and it’s clear from your feedback that we have room to improve in how we communicate outcomes and follow through on those initiatives. We recognize that branch closures can be unsettling, particularly when they might impact both teammates and the members we serve. Our goal is always to be transparent and considerate of the impact on everyone involved, and we will continue to work on strengthening our communication in these areas. While your review paints a difficult picture, we want to assure you that your feedback is being heard. If you’re open to discussing this further, we would welcome the opportunity to understand more about how we can better support you and others who share your concerns. Thank you again for sharing your experience.
