Pros

You interact with other instructors who love their job and want to progress in the field; Training is intensive, which clinically prepares you for starting out in the field; The scheduling team is amazing and really does work with you (especially if you are an instructor that is willing to work with them); Some directors are amazing and their job and continuously assist you professionally and emotionally; Great communication within the office and between staff; Lots of opportunity for upward mobility

Cons

Some directors are not great at their job and do the bare minimum; Very difficult to follow through and be good at your job when you are not receiving support on all sides; When starting this job, you will most likely not be working full time and you are not told that there will be holes in your schedule where you are not assigned to a client (if you stick it out past the first 6 months, this gets way better); You do not receive the evaluations that you are promised, which makes it difficult to argue for a raise

Pros

Amazing training and support from other staff. The kids are amazing and I’ve had some great supervisors since I started.

Cons

Last minute covers, scheduling doesn’t seem to consider commute time or time between sessions. My pay as a lead was capped. My office has had 4-5 supervisors leave in the last year. There is too much turnover, pay is too low and expectations are too high.

Pros

-Most of the supervisors are there to help you. Every time I had questions they would get back to me fairly quickly. While the job is tough, I feel supported by my supervisors -Training was long but good for someone who doesn't have experience in this field. -When we reopened, PPE was provided to staff.

Cons

- When we first began lock down due to COVID-19, I felt like they handled it well. We closed all services and we got emails from the founder and directors keeping staff in the loop with how the company would change how they operate during lockdown. Once we reopened though that all stopped. Now it just feels like they just send RBT's wherever they can without considering how the RBT feels about doing services with multiple clients. -Although they require clients to follow strict social distancing, they really have no way to enforce it. -Often times there is miscommunication between clinical and administrative staff -Lots of back and forth driving and often times make you drive out past your zone -Schedule changes very frequently. I'd spend time preparing for a cover only for it to change the next day.
