Pros

The initial training was fine.

Cons

Management doesn't respond. Once on site the training moved again and again. I only had one positive experience of all 3 locations. I only had 3 days of in office with a trainer and was told it going be cut and moved onto my hospital location at the time. I was given 24hrs notice of moving locations when I did and the training at my location was very inadequate. People taking 40m breaks, etc. There was no structure. I had no access to emails or systems for 2 weeks. I wasn't paid for my last day as well as they controlled my timesheet.

Cons

Training was rushed and not structured Back to back calls no time to breath, which I think is important given the fact that you will be dealing mostly with angry customers and calls maybe emotional draining High staff turnover suggests something is wrong

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear that you found our initial training courses beneficial. However, we're concerned about the issues you've raised regarding incorrect wages, micromanaging, work-life balance, and feeling unsupported. We apologise for any distress this caused, especially during the holiday season. We take these matters seriously and we have worked closely with the compensation and benefits team to further strengthen our processes to ensure that all colleagues are paid accurately and on time.

Pros

There aren’t any unless you building experience

Cons

Started off on the Lloyds contract and all was going so well. When Lloyds pulled out told we being transferred as we “were the best call takers” which was absolutely not true as some of the people transferred were the biggest call avoiders. Approximately 60 were first for alleged bad stats and as far as I knew these were the real hard working people. Along comes NatWest training went ok but NatWest had a very toxic culture encouraged by Firstsource management, most advisors way too young and many spotted in opposite sex’s bathrooms engaged in illicit activities. Because of the lack of calls being answered the ones actually working weee out under a lot of stress hence I no longer work there, the targets and stats are unrealistic

Thank you for sharing your experience. We appreciate your honesty and understand that transitioning between contracts can be challenging. We take concerns about fairness, workplace culture, and operational targets seriously. While we strive to recognize and retain the best talent, we acknowledge that experiences can vary, and we regret that you felt the selection process was not reflective of actual performance. Additionally, workplace conduct, and culture are priorities, and any reports of inappropriate behaviour should be addressed promptly. If you would like to discuss your experience further or provide specific details, we would be happy to listen and take appropriate action. Please feel free to reach out directly to: (Darryl Coleman) Wishing you the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

Career Growth & Internal Promotions – Firstsource values internal talent and provides good career advancement opportunities. My progression from TL to Manager Ops reflects this. Stable Work Environment – A decade-long tenure speaks for itself. The work culture is positive, and leadership is supportive. Recognition for Performance – Hard work and dedication are rewarded, making it a great place for those willing to put in the effort. Diverse Client Exposure – Working with global clients has strengthened my process management and operational expertise.

Cons

Increment Pace Could Be Faster – While salary progression is steady, some competitors offer higher jumps in compensation over a shorter period. Tech & Automation Adoption – Compared to other AI-driven BPOs, Firstsource could focus more on automation and digital transformation. Talent Retention – Mid-level attrition sometimes disrupts team stability, requiring constant training and adjustments.

Pros

Flexible schedule, decent PTO amounts(if you're able to use it)

Cons

This is the worst company as far as a claims processor job goes. Here's everything i feel needs mentioned. They hire at an hourly rate, but, after training you start on ramp, which is a higher amount per claim paid. You get 2 weeks of ramp 1, and then 2 of ramp 2 before getting to the base matrix pay. You WILL NOT get your hourly for a long time because the amount of claims they expect you to do straight out training is ridiculous and the pay isn't enough for the work needed, between following their procedures and fighting through the constant issues their systems seem to have daily. The claims that were easy all are now processed by bots, making the claims we pull require a lot more time and the matrix pay doesn't reflect it nor is it regularly updated while new procedures get added or old ones get updated to take more time. This may partially be because they keep all the fast examiners on a product and move slower examiners around, even as soon as having just trained on a new product, creating overly inflated claims per hour requirements and and lower matrix pay. Also, if you receive one singular error, your matrix rate goes down and stays down for 3 months, which doesnt sound too bad but youre expected to do upwards of 500 claims a week and maybe get 10 audits a month. You do get a small grace period after training but if you train on a new product its only a week long as opposed to a month when you first start. Getting trained on a new product only grants you 1 week of ramp each. Only 2 people are allowed off per supervisor per day, overtime is near constant, and if too many people are off in a month they freeze PTO for the next month. For the love of your mental health, look ANYWHERE ELSE! P.S. Hourly doesnt matter too much but I currently make less than 16 an hour and when I brought up that new hires were getting 16 an hour and requested for current examiners to get a raise they said "they will review it at yearly review to see if that's something they want to do" for us. Just to give you an idea of their mindset. You will not be thought of as a person here

Thank you very much for leaving us a review. We appreciate the hard work and effort you put in during your time with Firstsource. We appreciate the feedback regarding your dissatisfaction with your previous role, work culture, and pay. Our pay for performance model is not a great fit for everyone and we continuously review our models to ensure they are attainable and reasonable. We are committed to making a workplace where Firstsourcers can thrive and achieve their very best. We encourage open conversations with managers and our HR team to address any concerns, but understand that it can be difficult to feel like proper attention is placed in the correct areas. Pros

Work from home capability, can be flexible with enough notice.

Cons

Starts and ends with management. 1 supervisor was good. The managers are awful, enjoy bullying people. Long hours, constant system issues that they demand you clock out until they fix it then still expect 8 full working hours for their own system issues. Pay is LOW. They lied and said it was hourly, then after training they tell you about matrix pay. Paid holidays mean nothing if they overload OT on to "make up" for time missed.
