Pros

Flexera's Remote-first culture and emphasis on work/life balance and family over work are impressive. Management listens and tries to care, great vision, the Senior Leadership Team is trying to align the product strategy with the market needs. The Senior Leaders are easy to interact with and will make time to meet/work with employees in ways I haven't seen at a global enterprise. The transparency and openness of Jim Ryan and Mike Jerich are refreshing. The company is embracing AI as a tool, not a replacement. Decent Pay packages. Flexera has some of the best technical Solutions Engineers/Architects in the business.

Cons

The Private Equity Ownership is the biggest red flag. Profit and Growth is valued over strategy. Comp Plans Changed and removed variable comp from folks who were brought over from NetApp that were involved in Sales cycles and influenced Revenue An extended enterprise IT-style sales cycle is needed to sell legacy Flexera software - when it needs to be nimble and able to adapt to how cloud software is purchased. Lots of legacy products that are just jammed into others with no rhyme or reason. Kubernetes/Compute product strategy that came with the acquisition of Spot/CloudCheckr from NetApp is glaringly problematic from a roadmap perspective. Goals from management and leadership can be very opaque and delayed. There is really no room, or encouragement to expand outside of very narrow roles. The 401k match kind of sucks, and the benefits are really expensive for a large global enterprise company
