Pros

People are incredible smart, fun and hardworking. I love the Flexport culture and the type of people attracted to this unique business in the tech world. As a services company with real-world implications, this isn't a flashy app or an easily scalable product, and that complexity is what makes working here so fun. You will learn a ton, take on as much as you have capacity and initiative for, and you will have opportunities to help define your own role due to the high growth environment. The daily mindset of building structure into your job as you do it, and often having to do things for the first time, is a challenge worth chasing.

Cons

Because the company is growing very fast and everyone (even senior leaders) is working at a level above their experience and knowledge base, its difficult to get correct answers and input. Half the company is new in the past year and is trying to still figure out their own jobs. But this comes with the territory of joining a unicorn rocketship, and it allows for a lot of opportunity to lead initiatives as a junior employee with domain knowledge.

Pros

Flexport is a company that has a great mission: Make global trade easy for everyone. It's targeting a trillion-dollar plus market that is new to tech disruption and has a lot of smart and engaged employees. The workspace is great and is ideally located in SF at Market and Fourth. Transparent and approachable leadership and all of the other good company stuff, including great lunches and unlimited vacation. I've worked at other very successful companies, including the number one search engine and the number one SAAS company and this company has a very similar vibe. The company is backed by VC's that know how to invest - So, follow the money and invest your time with Flexport!

Cons

The only cons are those associated with successful, high growth companies: Lots to do; conference rooms are always booked; constant change. You don't want to work for a company that doesn't have these problems.
