An engaging, innovative and enjoyable place to work
Pros
There is a great culture at Flock, everyone is really engaged and they go out of their way to make sure it's a fun and inclusive place to work. Lots of autonomy, lots of ways you can contribute both in and outside of your role and job description. The job is really what you can make of it. Plenty of social events, many employee benefits that the company is starting to add like funding for training and books, well being and mental health support etc.
Cons
I think you have to be of the right cultural fit. This is a company that is coming out of that startup period and becoming a 'real' business. Having an entrepreneurial mindset and the right attitude to tackle difficult obstacles you'll do really well. This is not the place to just coast through or expect everything to fit within your role and nothing else. There are definitely improvements to be made with the work life balance to allow people time off and to turn off outside of working hours sometimes, but this is something they are working to address and is often part of the general enthusiasm within the business that people are still engaging with each other outside of office hours. Again I'd just say it's one of those places where you need to be of the right mindset and to want to be challenged with really interesting ideas and problems to solve. Don't expect to ever be bored or have nothing to do!
