No work life balance

Pros

Pros: decent pay, good benefits (when you can use them), opportunities to work remote. Exposure to some big clients.

Cons

- very cliquey - The work life balance is non-existent. Colleagues don’t understand PTO, and everything is always “urgent”. No one exhibits any empathy for situations in personal life. - management does not listen to their reports. Never offers any real assistance. - Opportunities for growth are very limited - Recognition is given to the same people over and over again. - Bandwith is tight and you are constantly overwhelmed with 6-8 clients per person. - The company is completely disorganized, and no one communicates with one another. There are no SOPs and therefore everyone is always just doing their own thing. New people come in and are thrown to the wolves, lost and confused. - There are better agencies that have way better organization and offer better opportunities for growth.

Pros

The culture here is good. People are always looking to help one another, continue development, and tackle complex problems together

Cons

Constructive feedback is sometimes difficult to come by as people try too hard not to step on each others’ toes. Compensation in bonuses or stock is lacking.

Pros

- Massive career growth upside (if you're willing to put the work in - have to earn it). I started at Flywheel with 0 eCommerce experience and left the business as an Amazon leader for some of the top brands across North America. Plenty of opportunity to advance your career. - The people, culture are truly something special. I left the company with some lifelong friends - that doesn't happen everywhere! Highly recommend working in-office if possible - great experience! - Real, unlimited PTO. Upon starting, I was concerned this policy would backfire and, because there aren't a set number of days, people wouldn't take time off. Flywheel does a good job making sure everyone is taking full advantage of unlimited PTO and feeling like you can totally unplug while doing so. - Health benefits are top-tier. - Competitive salaries. - Couldn't recommend this company more for someone just starting their career in business and is highly-driven.

Cons

Not a con, but the nature of the job (customer service / agency) combined with the nature of the industry (eCommerce - high growth) means that Flywheel has been, still is, and will continue to be moving at a very fast pace. Through no fault of their own, the leadership team is constantly changing, reworking, and optimizing internal structures and procedures to ensure they're staying ahead the pack. As a result, things move very quickly and there is constant change. If you want to make a name for yourself and succeed at Flywheel, you need to be ready to adapt, put in a lot of work & effort, and adapt some more. If you're willing to put the time in to learn and be proactive, you will fit perfectly in this high-growth environment.
