Pros

I’ve been with Focal for close to 3.5 years now. The growth and self-awareness of this company is something to admire. We know what we’re good at, and work diligently to improve in areas we are lacking. The benefits are great, we’re given adequate PTO, and the equity shows great potential. Every member of the leadership team has proven themselves to be high output all the time. A very tireless team. This is the company I hope to retire from.

Cons

If you’re not intrinsically motivated and thick skinned then you will not survive at this company. Your mistakes will be brought to light, but you won’t be chastised; only expected to grow.

Pros

Having a retail background, I can tell you this is the next big thing. I have been on the job now less than a year, but every store we go into, I hear the same feedback. This is awesome! They almost don't believe how cool and powerful it is. Focal has technology retailers only dreamed about, and no one else has it. Its really exciting feeling like you are on the cutting edge of AI and retail! The team is awesome, my manager is awesome, and the tech is beyond awesome.

Cons

I don't have that much negative to say. 5 months in, and I am very happy with my decision. If I had to say anything, I would love more support. There is a lot of pressure to get everything right, and if I don't then no one else will. But I guess that was fairly advertised in the position. It is a big responsibility, and that is why the pay is much bigger than what I was making.

So far I like the people, the job, the challenge, and the technology. It is very cool. The company culture fits for me. The company has a very clear direction which is inspiring.

Cons

Not much negative to say.
