Pros

The discounts are tremendous. I was given 30% discounts with the opportunity to take part in the Friends and Family Weekends which give you and your family 50% off all merchandise for the weekend. New Jordan shoes are typically not part of this deal, but most everything else in the store is fair game. This job also gave me great sales experience. The customer comes in with a general idea of what they want to purchase and you are simply there to assist them in making their purchases.

Cons

Pay is not great. I was basically working on minimum wage and commissions of 1% of every sale. If you are not in a busy store time can pass very slow as well.

Pros

competitive & friendly atmosphere within a store unless you are a theif, or lazy. there are decent discounts.

Cons

Management often shows you that you are only a tool for making more money and does not hide the fact that they don't care about their employees. If Foot Locker is not your main priority in life, then Foot Locker will not show any gratitude or appreciation.

Pros

If you like sports and need lots of shoes, this is your place. Good core group of employees under the Senior Mgt ranks.

Cons

Executives drive for profit comes at the expense of mistreating employees and micro-management that paralyzes the organization. This sentiment filters from Execs through Directors and turns a good group of well meaning employees into a discontent family. Turnover in the corporate office nears 25% a year. Employees tied to Wausau stay, the others quickly leave. Salaries are well below average and HR will purposely undermine employees to keep it this way. Will not invest in talent, rather hire cheap local talent to fill most roles.
