Pros
I love getting up in the morning and going to work. Love my team, love the work, very happy to be at Formlabs. You get to work on real problems without a filter of uninspired management. Lots of challenges come up and the hard work that's put into solving them is celebrated in the company. Lots of freedom in the work when there aren't obvious fires to be putting out. People are passionate and excited about their work - lots of interdisciplinary contributions and projects! Many people work really hard and long hours, but I've never encountered any problems with my personal work life balance. It's really nice to have flexible work hours.
Cons
Sometimes unclear structure can be frustrating when you're trying to get things done fast but don't want to leave people out of decision making. Definitely sometimes encounter aversion to committing time to more intangible team improvements, which can be frustrating sometimes. Professional development can be a little undefined, but in general if you want new/different opportunities I think it can be pretty easy to ask for it.
