* Forward is a moonshot. The products being built are almost always the first of their kind and that's incredibly rewarding and exciting * The people are A+ and all incredibly mission-driven, capable, and kind. The intertwining of the DNA of engineers & doctors outputs a really great culture of people who want use technology to solve actual problems * Little to no bureaucracy or BS around titles, levels, etc. - very flat and meritocratic * Regularly feel genuinely inspired by the mission, scope, and coworkers here. Hard to imagine going to work at some B2B SaaS startup after trying to tackle a problem as big as this

Cons

* Trying to rebuild healthcare from first principles is not a joke. Lots of work relative to headcount. Lots of focus on rigorous thinking and process, which isn't for everyone * In-person work is great and can't imagine going back to sitting on zoom all day, but that's a personal choice people have to make

Pros

Working at Forward has changed my perspective on what matters most in a career. This is a place for folks from any level to come in and do their best work while saving lives and transforming the medical industry into a patient-centric operation. The stories from all of the members' whose health has been dramatically improved is heartwarming. I came to Forward for the mission, but I stay for the people. Forward is filled with genuinely caring, super sharp, highly driven people. Multiple MA's (medical assistants) have progress to work full-time in corp (if that's what they wanted). You'll learn SO much here and contribute so much back to the world -- you honestly can't ask for much better in a career.

Cons

This is both a pro and (for some) a con - the bar for excellence here is quite high. If you want to grow your career quickly, work with amazing people who inspire you to up-level your own caliber of work every day, then Forward is great for you. If you're just looking for a "job" and not a mission-oriented career...there are plenty of other places you can look.

This is one of the best places in tech if you are seeking meaningful work that makes a difference. Bold mission to build a parallel healthcare universe, which the entire team believes in and rallies around. Huge variety of technical challenges that have never been done before. Top tier talent that puts purpose above everything else. If you come from a similar mindset, you'll be in the company of like-minded people, learn a lot and grow quickly.

Cons

Not for everyone. Look elsewhere if you are not up for the intensity that comes with working on a world changing mission.
