Pros

Great flexibility. Could train scribes better so wouldn't recommend for first time scribe.

Cons

Hard to get heard as a scribe if you have any issues.

Pros

Schedule flexibility, work from home

Cons

Worker misclassification - many of us are "contractors" despite our roles and positions within the company following the legal definition of an employee. Forward doesn't want to pay out benefits, pay taxes, or give shares if the company sells. 0 growth prospects, awful treatment, awful pay (don't be fooled by posted salaries - they don't account for the very high contractor taxes you will be paying). Expects skilled people with degrees to have advanced medical knowledge, perform technical troubleshooting phone calls, be able to perform the entirely of the care coordinators job duties as well (a separate position that pays more than scribing), manage and maintain the entire team as a visit coordinator, and so much more for less pay than my local Mcdonald's and Walmart offer. I have worked here for 3 years and have been declined pay raises multiple times, with the reason cited being "we don't have the money". Job duties and scope have increased so dramatically in these years that it is offensive. No effective leadership present whatsoever, incredibly high turnover means that you will never speak with someone who is actually knowledgeable about your situation and can meaningfully help. They know that many of their workers rely on the work from home and flexibility and abuse that. No benefits at all - will promise you 40 hours/wk, then tell you it's your fault for expecting anything when they cut you back to 10.
