      Great Food, Hostile Work Enviroment

      Pros

      You will learn expansive food and wine knowledge, the money can be good as well.

      Cons

      FRC engages in a host of illegal activities, from non-payed overtime, to requiring servers to pay retail prices for mis-rung items. I experienced these practices at two different restaurants in two different cities. Although management can easily be blamed, they were also trying to adhere to their corporate mandates.

      Pros

      Learn about foods and their benefits that you never knew existed. You see how every role in the house is important. No one man is more important than the other.

      Cons

      Competition between team mates who ultimately need each other is common. Lots of favoritism in a establishment that seems to employ a lot of career servers and bartenders.

      Pros

      Every True food I have worked at/visited has a nice, bright, and airy feel which makes for a good work environemt. Because True Food is expanding so rapidly there is a lot of opportunity to move up within the restaurants if thats your thing.

      Cons

      Some managers are not always supportive and respectful of their staff. There is a lot of shuffling of managers between stores which can be a bummer once you get a good one. The good ones are usually shipped off to open a new store, which is understandable.
