Pros

Prestigious firm, really great for CV

Cons

Poor work environment, overworked/underpaid, attorneys care at all about those who work under them. Very passive and toxic environment as poor training is blamed on the employee rather than the employer.

Thank you for your feedback. We pride ourselves on providing the best training and introduction to the immigration space, so I'm sorry your experience didn't match up to that. The Firm offers over 1,000 training sessions on our Learning Management System, including sections on communication, client service, personal development, and a series of management and leadership trainings; all in addition to our live and recorded business immigration basics series. Many training sessions are as short as five minutes, and all are intended to assist our employees in their development while providing flexibility in where and when they take them. In addition, in 2020 we're planning on rolling out a Firmwide Fragomen Academy onboarding - coordinating our training and onboarding experience across the Firm. We hope to ensure that everyone receives the same positive training, setting them up for success in their immigration careers. Patrick Gallagher, Director of Learning & Development

Pros

Fragomen hires extremely talented people from diverse backgrounds. The people on your team can become like a family and you will learn to rely on them both inside and outside of work if you are to make it in the firm.

Cons

If you are seen as one of the people overachieving at your job, you will be given more cases and your caseload will keep growing without any immediate improvements to your compensation. There was very frequent turnover, and since leaving only a handful of people remain from my cohort at the firm, including both Assistant Paralegals and Attorneys.

Pros

Its decently paid for what it is.

Cons

Like being a grunt in the military- the attorneys treat you like you're "lesser than." On most teams you do the same. thing. over. and. over. again. Its really really boring.

Thank you for your review, and we're disappointed that you found some aspects of your time at Fragomen un-fulfilling. Our Paralegal population is the lifeblood of our business model, playing a more critical role than is typical at most law firms, where they are often seen as a support function. We're sorry you didn't feel appreciated or valued by the Associates you worked with - this is a rare criticism here, but one we are addressing in an upcoming Manager Training program. As for the work being repetitive - we're constantly looking at ways our ever-improving technology can automate some of the more mundane functions of the case work, allowing our Paralegals to focus on more value add and client facing work. We appreciate your time with us, and are focused on improvements in both these areas for our current and future Paralegals. Gary Whyld, Director of Talent Acquisition
