Pros

you can learn there if you are starting a new career

Cons

However, each office is different; the one in Irvine, in particular, has unfair practice. They accuse of you of things you didn't do, the sr. paralegal works with the attorney to conspire against you because she doesn't like you, you get fired for no apparent reasons. I was there from 2004 to 2008.

Pros

It looks good on your resume when you jump ship for another job.

Cons

-No proper training. Work is thrown at you and you're expected to figure it out on your own. If you don't find a co-worker to pester every minute of every day for help when you first start working here you'll probably have a hard time. -Compensation is laughable for the amount and complexity of some of the work you're expected to handle. -Micromanagement by individuals who lack leadership and organizational skills. -Temps are not treated with respect. Pros

Something to put on your resume if you’re lacking experience.

Cons

The worst law firm to work for. Management expects you to break your back for your job. Long hours and NOT NEARLY enough pay. Annual “raises” are more of salary adjustments. They get away with labeling you as assistants while you’re actually doing paralegal work so you get paid less. There is no support from management and the lack of adequate training builds you for failure. Overworked? Not management’s problem. It’s your problem for not getting your work done faster. Can’t meet deadlines? Not management’s problem. You should be working 9+ hours everyday to meet your deadlines. Management doesn’t care about you, only the money they get from clients. You’re their sweat shop workers, NOT employees.
