Pros

I mainly talk to field techs, and I don't have to take incoming customer calls. My job is to fix the network.

Cons

Management policies that get in the way of getting work done. Productivity is pushed to the point that the less work per ticket you do, and the more tickets you work like that, the more you are rewarded.

Pros

My imeadiate Manager is very knowlegable of the politcis of the company and works directly with Senior Reginal Management on budgeting and technical planning. Regional Management seems to be driven by a balance of local customer concern and Wall Street's opinon.

Cons

The Senior Leadership Team appears be driven only by concerns of the imeadiate Wallsteet price of the stock and their own compensation over the next 2-3 years. The company has been moving toward organizing engineering and operations into a silo'ed Regional Bell Operating Company model with centralized engineering and operations, lacking the familarity and flexibility to meet local business and residential customer needs.
