Pros

Great team if you are lucky. But talented hard-working people were made redundant and left seeing friends of management getting promotions.

Cons

Toxic culture. Layoffs every year in December and now throughout they year. Happened at least 5 times. One day you work with someon (company is fully remote), next day you can't find them on slack. They are already out of the work system and the only people who may know something are his direct coworkers. The company is very secretive about the layoffs. Sub-par pay, not kept with the industry level or at least inflation. Non-technical C-level management making wrong decisions and blaming lower management and teams. Nepotism. Scapegoating. The core platform is in bad shape and 3 major attempts at refactoring didn't do any good. The company has lost its soul. They are just going through motions. If you value your sanity and expertise, avoid them like plague.

A case study in how to dismantle a company

Pros

The company is fully remote. There are still some talented and professional individuals within the ranks who make the day-to-day manageable.

Cons

Annual layoff cycles have eliminated job security. The delivery of these layoffs is particularly tone-deaf; leadership announces job cuts in the same breath as "record performance" and promotions. This week's attempt to flatten the organization appears to be a joke, competent managers are being replaced by inexperienced individuals, based on favoritism rather than merit or leadership capability. There is a pervasive lack of trust and, instead of empowering employees, leadership defaults to micro-management. While the company rating has dropped significantly (from 4.8 to 3.3 in just a few years), even these numbers feel inflated by fake 5-star reviews meant to mask the internal reality.
