GC Micro reviews

I went to work at GC Micro right out of college. The training I received will probably have a bigger impact on my career than my degree. At most places the company is trying to make money and you're just there to help them do that. At GC Micro, it's a very different approach. The company's focus seems to be on helping each person be more successful and I think that's the company's secret to success. I like that the company is investing in me. Some of the best training was from the senior account managers. It's funny to think some of them were at GC Micro when I was still in elementary school. I like the physical environment, the break room is nice with all the refrigerators. I like the picnic tables outside. it's fun to eat lunch and watch the group play basketball. The gym is fantastic, I'm in the best shape ever.

I worked at GC Micro for three years and that experience had a significant positive impact on a number of areas in my life. I would still be there if it had not been for a family need that prompted me to move. The company sells IT products to the federal government and the defense and aerospace industry so the caliber of people you are dealing with and the level of professionalism is much higher than previous positions where I was dealing with the general public. I really enjoyed the exceptional training, the team atmosphere, the gym, the food trucks, the incentive trips to Las Vegas and the opportunity to evolve to a level I probably would not have been able to achieve anywhere else. I still listen to all the personal and professional development programs they gave me. Every year I was there the company was named one of the best places to work in the North Bay.
