Pros

You will know what kind of company you do NOT want to work for after getting hired by GC Micro, and they pay? Honestly not much good to say here.

Cons

2+ Months of Training Memorizing script after script after script...after script The CEO is very rude, full of herself, and a bit scary Only the main account managers get the good leads, otherwise your just their assistant doing the ground work for them Employees are always scared for their job Constant micro managing, its not just the name it's their practice

Great Training, Better People

Pros

Fantastic stepping stone company for most, and a great career for the few. The people on the sales floor are genuinely good people, and I made a lot of great friends there. Potlucks are great. There is a makeshift gym that is open for use on free time.

Cons

Its hard to say anything bad about this place, but here is my truth: There is only room for about 6-8 account managers to truly be successful. If you get there at the right time and the cards fall into place for you then congratulations, you're going to be alright. If not, then at least you will get some great training and meet some great people. You will figure out who the top people are really quickly, so if one of the top folks aren't leaving the company with you next in line for that spot, then time to re-evaluate. Very basic health benefits, no retirement plan, no perks, and not one minute of your daily schedule is flexible.

Pros

Amazing sales training program. Really gets you pumped up to work for them. Can be very profitable with some big time commissions if you have the chops. They hire great people with integrity. Fun bunch to work with. Get lots of free lunches and parties for company goals being achieved.

Cons

Be prepared to open up your own accounts. If you are lucky you will get put on a specific "profitable" Account Team. You must be able to open accounts and be one heck of a negotiator and closer because it takes time to build up pipeline there. The commission plan is tricky and easy to miss the bonus qualifiers.
