Pros

I have been with GEM since 2014 when they won the Security contract. It was chaos at first especially when salaries had to be reduced due to the contract. I'm glad I stuck it out because soon afterward GEM increased our salaries. GEM is a small company and they fought a battle to increase our salaries whereas a larger company would not. The corporate office is great! As a small business they have a little more compassion than large companies. This includes the HR department...they are wonderful! They are very responsive and informative to my questions. Overall benefits are great!

Cons

I have no complaints at this time

Pros

The company management focuses on promoting from within. GEM does biannual performance evaluations and gives employee bonuses and spot awards. The company sponsors employee organized teambuilding events. The Program Management is responsive and very approachable.

Cons

Communication: The Company does a lot of positive things (such as employee of the month), but does not always advertises them.

Pros

It's a small company but they really do care about their employees going out of their way. Their headquarters is in a different city/state but always reachable and available by phone. The growth within is available but restricted by contract requirements which you cannot really blame them for. But once you do reach required number of years they sure do make things happen.

Cons

as mentioned above, moving to next level is based on total number of years of experience due to contract requirements (which if you think about it is out of company's hands).
